New Business Development Executive

From beautifully designed, intuitive online stores, to results-driven marketing strategies and best-in-class applications, Eastside Co’s 70+ strong team of specialists across UX, design, development, marketing and client services work with online businesses to achieve exceptional success.

We are now on the lookout for two driven individuals with a hunter mentality to join our new business team. You will join us at an exciting time in our ambitious journey as we continue to expand our existing team to both protect and further grow our position as a market leader.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Working alongside the new business team, you will continually build a pipeline of new business opportunities You will demonstrate a consultative approach to qualifying new leads which involves developing rapport with clients, delivering excellent service and constantly championing the agency being able to answer questions about Shopify page builds, online marketing to generate more traffic and Apps to enhance website functionality. (You’ll get training in this don’t worry.)

You’ll focus on outbound calls contacting eCommerce merchants and qualify the leads generated from our marketing team in order to pass them on to a sales colleague (or close the deals yourself when you’re ready to do so). Supporting the wider new business team to ensure all client requirements are met successfully (i.e. survey existing clients and create marketing ideas to warm leads up before contacting them).

Who will you be?

  • You must have an basic awareness, understanding and interest in eCommerce that you can demonstrate at interview (Shopify platform a plus)
  • As we recruit for attitude and train for success, you may be a recent graduate or someone with 12 months of experience
  • Self-motivated, well-organised and willing to get stuck in
  • Previous experience of lead generation/qualification and/or selling would be desirable
  • Confidence working with Excel, Hubspot and confident using digital platforms that replicate a face to face environment - including Google meet and Zoom
  • Have a wish to become an Account Manager using the training in BD and sales methodologies we will provide to you.

The salary for the role would be £20,000 - £24,000 with a generous commission structure based on the achievement of agreed objectives.
