The Brand

Reese and Murphy is a new pet toy and apparel company based in the US, named after the founder’s two dogs and born of a passion for animals. A unique take on pet products, this family-owned brand sells a specially-designed range of accessories.

The owner is a social media influencer with over a million followers on Instagram. Having previously used her social platforms and personal blog to sell products through affiliate links, she decided to create the Reese and Murphy brand to turn her passion into an ecommerce business, using Shopify as the platform.

Eastside Co was chosen to launch the business into the market using our Accelerator Programme, which enables us to quickly and economically launch beautiful Shopify stores that sell.

The Opportunity

As a new business with no existing presence in the ecommerce marketplace, the exciting challenge was creating a new Shopify store which would capture the essence of the brand and start making sales quickly. 

It was also key, as a new website, to make sure it excelled at the SEO fundamentals to enable it to gain visibility quickly, to get in front of potential customers.

The Solution

Launching the brand via our rapid deployment Accelerator Programme was the perfect fit - this quick-launch solution is based on our own custom framework on Shopify 2.0, purpose-built for merchants and direct-to-consumer brands. It enables businesses to enter the ecommerce space in under 4 weeks, with a new store created by our Shopify developers, built using the latest technology, on a lightning fast theme.

In addition to launching the new site via our Accelerator Programme on Shopify 2.0, we also enhanced the site’s functionality. Our custom-framework enables easy and efficient integrations with our tech partners, and for the Reese and Murphy site we enabled additional customer payment options via Klarna, and improved customer service thanks to a Gorgias integration.

We also included a video from the founders to help grow the relationship between the brand and the customer, and exit-intent popups enable data capture so that the brand can follow up with emails to entice visitors with new products, discounts and news.
