Ecommerce is no longer simply about having a website where people can browse and buy. The online shopping experience has evolved to encompass multiple touchpoints across a variety of platforms, with seamless integration between them as customers discover and explore brands in multiple spaces.
Following this omnichannel approach, we worked with our client, Tropic Skincare, to launch a live shopping experience hosted by Founder and CEO, Susie Ma.
We worked to facilitate the event and our developers integrated the shoppable platform, Bambuser, with Shopify.
The live show enabled Susie and the brand to connect directly with thousands of customers around the world via an interactive, live, shoppable event.
After hosting two live shows, Tropic saw over 15,800 people tune in to watch their live shows.
Over 520 purchases were made, totalling over 1,170 individual products.
Tropic saw really impressive engagement and interaction levels with 70,000 likes and 6,000 comments being sent across the two shows.
Through the show, products could be highlighted and customers were able to click on the image to add-to-cart and purchase items without leaving the stream.
The format also allowed interaction between the host and the audience in real-time, and live-chat functionality enabled Susie to answer questions about products from viewers.
As well as the event itself, the platform integration allows reports on sales and engagement in the dashboard to understand the success of the stream.
The video can still be viewed after the event and people can still purchase, so it doesn’t end with the livestream. The video is a powerful add-on that makes sales and can be used again for marketing and promotional purposes.
