The Stationery Brand

That Keeps Moving

Boxclever Press, established in 2004, is a market-leading stationery company with a difference. Their wall planners, diaries, calendars and organisers are all designed with care and attention to detail which makes customers feel like they were created just for them.

The business needed an ecommerce store that would do the same.

Bringing the Brand to Life

Eastside Co set out to create a Shopify Plus site that would capture the spirit of Boxclever Press. It beautifully showcases their products, lifestyle imagery and unique illustrations to reproduce the personal feeling of the brand and help convert visitors into customers.

We extended this aesthetic and use of the brand colour palette to the blog landing page to enable visitors to further explore the brand. The collection page incorporates a hover effect animation - a small detail, but attention to detail is critical to how Boxclever Press make their products and we wanted the website to reflect that.

Customisation

Behind the scenes, the site uses meta fields for an extremely customisable front end. The company is able to easily amend content onsite to keep it feeling fresh, which makes navigating the site a richer experience.

We built a bespoke product customisation tool which enables customers to pick a style, foil and text to be printed on certain diary products.

Designed to Convert

As well as a great looking store, we focused on making it easy for customers to buy. A ‘related products’ section on the product page encourages further purchases and helps increase average order value. Customers can select additional items easily on the product page and add to cart with one click. Upsell and recommended product regions feature unobtrusively across other areas of the site, including non-product pages such as blog posts.

Increasing Sales

Customers can also select and view the different colour swatches on the collection page to choose their preferred variant before proceeding to the product page. Another small detail, but one that makes it easier for the customer by reducing clicks and creating a better buying experience.

Implementing video content across the site improves the user experience and helps customers get a better feel for the products, increasing the chance of a purchase. We used a Shopify-hosted video on the homepage, as well as embedded YouTube videos on product pages.

Sticky add-to-carts on product pages for both mobile and desktop sites gives the customer the ability to add the product to their cart at any time with ease.

Internationalisation

As well as the UK-based website, we built three native language clone stores for Boxclever Press in Germany, Italy and France to enable them to scale the business internationally.

Trust Factors

The ‘Meet the Team’ feature on the Story page puts faces and names to the people behind the business and helps build trust, along with a review section to validate the quality of the product and service.

The Contact Us page helps build trust further by providing an address, phone number, email, social media profiles and a friendly message.
