Sainsbury’s is looking to take on Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Asda by a new E-Commerce website for it’s TU clothing brand. The website went live yesterday on 13th August, following a very successful trial in the Midlands last September, and then in London in January. Sainsbury’s then decided to follow the likes of Asda’s George, to create a website that is centred solely on their very successful clothing brand.

The brand new website includes a wide range of items such as womenswear, menswear and childrenswear which are all available for next day delivery, standard delivery, store collection and click-and-collect. The goal for Sainsbury’s with this brand new online store is to provide an anywhere service that will increase the reach and boost the brand of their clothing line TU.

The supermarket speciailists have launched 19 collections with the stylist Gok Wan, which was great for the business’s market share and digital sale growth. The businesses is on an upwards spiral to success with their brand new store and we are all very impressed with how well they are doing by doubling their sales especially with their Gok for Tu jeans which are getting sold at an average of every minute in store and even underwear is getting sold every three seconds!

Sainsburys are currents the UK’s seventh largest clothing retailer and are the 10th largest by value according to Kantar Worldpanel data.
