The Cutlery Commission challenged us to develop a website that gave the user a highly personalised purchasing experience to reflect the company’s products and ethos.
The website’s structure reflects The Cutlery Commission’s thoughtful approach to user experience and journeys.
From the homepage, visitors are given clear routes through the Cutlery Commission’s product range: ‘I know what I want and I’m ready to shop’, ‘I’m buying a gift for a special occasion and I’d like some expert guidance’, leading to occasion-based collections, and ‘I need some inspiration’, which opens a pop-up product gallery.
The header gives users further browsing options: by item type, by occasion and by recipient.
We made personalisation really simple with a text field on each product page, meaning customers can add personalisation with no extra clicks. The design is clean but still warm, providing the perfect backdrop for The Cutlery Commission’s imaginative product imagery.
